Futsal World Championships at Disney's Wide World Of Sports.

The HandsOnSports Foundation and coaches Otto Orf and Chris Booker took a team of 15 and 16 year old boys to the first ever Futsal World Championships in Orlando Florida this August. Teams from Spain, Brazil, Australia, Columbia, Uruguay, Mexico, Canada and the United States competed in boys, girls and adult divisions.

Our team consisted of Great Lakes Regional Team players from Owensboro and Louisville, Kentucky. In addition we added 3 players from Naples Futsal in Florida and an additional 2 players from Orlando Futsal. The team performed admirably winning two games and losing 3 but getting together for the first time to play in this tournament against very high caliber competition was a monumental task. 

We look forward to the upcoming Regional Team tryouts and wish all of the Great Lakes regional futsal players the best of luck this coming season.
